Sweet Yogurt Recipe | Mishti Doi Recipe

 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups ‏Milk
  • 1/2 cup ‏Sugar
  • 1/2 cup ‏Sour yogurt
  • Directions:

    1In a pan take sugar and water. Boil on low medium heat. When it turns into caramel add milk. Keep stirring and reduce to 2/3. Make it cold to lukewarm, but not completely cold.

    2Now beat the sour yogurt to smooth paste using a fork and mix with the milk. Strain extra water from the curd before using.



    3Pour the mixture of the milk from a bit high into a dry bowl or pot to make some foam. Importantly keep in mind that the bowl or pot where the yogurt is to be set must be dry. Cover, wrap with a towel and keep it overnight or at least 8 hours.

    4If the yogurt is not set, keep another 5-6 hours. Then you can serve.
